STIAVELLI-DIVISIONE PACKAGING DI PAVAN

Founded in 1962 at Borgo a Buggiano (in the province of Pistoia) by the Stiavelli bros., this company has been able to establish its brand in international markets by designing and manufacturing quality machinery for packaging dry pasta, breadsticks and other bread substitutes, biscuits, dried fruit, salt, animal feed.
In 2000 Stiavelli joined the Pavan Group, the global food installation constructor, within which it though maintains its independence both in design and construction terms. The empowerment of the company within the Veneto group has among other things resulted in the expansion of its industrial site, which now has a net floorspace of 4,000 square meters, providing a greater production capacity and enabling the creation of leading edge packaging systems tailored to suit individual needs.

Stiavelli (Pavan Group) will be presenting the SVMA-MIV packaging machine, an alternate motion machine driven by brushless motors for filling and forming pillow or flat bottom bags either with or without four sided seals. The SVMA-MIV is equipped with a bar-type vertical sealing device, brushless motor driven sealing jaws and film drive; it also features a specific system for forming flat bottom bags, a film splicing surface for easier film reel change and a device for automatic transversal film centering - that shifts the entire rear of the machine including the reel. The machine also has sensors for machine-stop in the event of film breakage. This SVMA-MIV has been set to be connected up to a specific multi-headed checkweigher and is managed by an industrial PLC controlled by a touchscreen operator panel. The machine is ideal for packaging fragile products in that the front part of the same, comprising the sealing jaws and forming tube, can be tilted to a max. of 40°, thus avoiding jolting or breakage of the packed products in outfeed.
