The good results of Interplastica
Despite the political and financial uncertainties, Russia’s economy is growing and sustaining the demand for consumer goods.
This is witnessed by the good performance of the latest edition of Interplastica, held in Moscow last January 28th to 31st in conjunction with Upakovka-Upak Italia, generating a total flow of 20 thousand visitors. A similar interest, a few weeks after the big “K” in Düsseldorf, stresses the importance of the market and the event which was attended by 687 exhibitors from 28 countries over a floorspace of 13,500 sqm net. According to estimates by Messe Düsseldorf, which organizes the event, Germany leads the ranking of plastics and rubber machinery suppliers to Russian companies, with a market share of 32.2%, followed at a distance by Italy (15,5%) and China (13,9%). Between 2011 and 2012 German exports to the region grew by 7.5%.
