Award-winning safety

The ProTech division of the German group Schreiner presents a label for logistics and safety that won last year’s Finat World Label Awards in the combined in-line printing category.

It is a product with a complex series of explicit concealed and digital safety functions already  used in safeguarding authentic automobile spare parts in BMW and other concerns.
If proof of tampering is to be visible to the eye and not having to resort to any type of tool, at a second level, in the print phase, two or three holographed demetalised stripes are added that produce different optical effects, identifiable according to the angle of observation.

A third level of protection is provided by various types of ink: the thermochromatic ones change color showing the message “original” when the labeled pack reaches body temperature; the UV luminescent variety produce a line of concealed wording and other markers if observed in black light. As well as that, copied labels can be verified via a printed variably shaped figure created by chance procedures, attained from a high resolution digital matrix. In fact, any attempt at forgery will produce inaccurate, hazy copies, because made from simple printed material and not from a digital matrix. Lastly, a safety tracer code enables verification of the integrity of the logistics chain. Specific functions can be added according to request.
