ReeR presents the new measurement sensor Micron, ideal for all industrial object detection, measurement and recognition applications.
According to the number and position of the rays that strike an object, Micron is able to provide real-time information to a PLC or PC to detect the presence or absence, count, locate the position of, detect shape or outline and measure the size of given objects.
Only 28x30 mm across, the proverbial versatility and reliability that characterizes the entire range of ReeR products makes this sensor ideal for height measurement and two-dimensional detection applications involving objects transiting on conveying systems (photo 1 and 2)
The range of Micron sensors is rich and varied: all models (MI AV, AC Milan, MI B), that can be made to comply to all machinery and equipment manufacturers’ needs, have a very simple programming interface, and may, as appropriate, give the measurement, bulk, outline and the position of objects, carry out counting operations or scan for the presence or absence of the same.
In addition to Micron, ReeR has developed a full range of light curtains, light barriers, laser scanners, safety controllers and interfaces like the Mosaic solution (photo 3), which concentrates all machine or system management security functions.
We also cite the EOS4 and EOS2 safety light curtains (photo 4) that, with a section of only 28x30 mm, are among the smallest on the market and integrate all the required safety functions.
The WTF and WTHF versions in IP 69K airtight container (56 mm diameter) with or without heater can be used in environments featuring the presence of water and steam (food and beverage industries). Due to their inert, non-toxic components, no residue is released when the barrier is washed or when it comes into contact with food. The EOS series has been ECOLAB certified as complying to material resistance tests in accordance with food industry cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
