Sysmac platform: the NAs are here
Omron, a founding partner of SPS/IPC/Drives Italia, will be presenting all the new features of the Sysmac platform, including the NA terminals.
Machine controllers, safety, vision, logic, I/O connection with the fast EtherCAT network and programming with a single software, Sysmac Studio: these Sysmac features are now joined by the new NA family of HMIs, with the relative man-machine interface (also programmable through Sysmac Studio) and unprecedented functions.
Simplify aboveall. Designed on the basis of accurate analysis of real-world applications and user needs, Omron’s new NA man-machine interface allows developers to quickly and easily implement dynamic and intuitive pages, enabling an increase in productivity and minimization of machine stoppages, providing detailed info in real time and chronological data on the machine operations. The family of NA terminals can be programmed with the Sysmac Studio development software; A single database for variables and alarms, a single development environment and the ability to simulate any application ensure development speed, simplicity, and less chance of errors.
Intelligent Application Gadget. To further facilitate programming, for the most common applications, the NA terminals are provided with an innovative planning tool called IAG (Intelligent Application Gadget). These are graphical function blocks, which allow reuse of machine functions and images only changing the parameters. Omron provides a set of already prepared IAGs, but users have the option of adding new ones or to fully customize the project using VB.net. Vector Graphics animations are also available preconfigured, including tanks with notches for the indication of the level and valves that indicate open/close status, also including images of the main parts of the most common machines, including wrapping and packaging machines, multi-head weighers and a lot more.
Security. A security system with multi-level authentication ensures control of access to the machine at individual user level. There is also password protection of control and security applications, as well as data transfer protection that disables overwriting and copying.
Advanced features. NA terminals are equipped with powerful multimedia tools, which enable the combining of a wide range of different resources, such as PDF files, videos and data, in order to obtain immediately understandable machine displays. Videos that show how to perform a particular procedure and documentation in PDF format can also be embedded. The touchscreen is resistive, with three additional function keys, but for PDF documents functions such as zoom (double tap), scroll the pages with drag & drop etc. are still available.
The new Omron NA terminals are available in wide screen 7, 9, 12 and 15 inch formats. Two Ethernet and two USB ports are available for connectivity.
