Weighing and packaging dried fruit and nuts

An Ishida iTPS (Integrated Total Packaging System), supplied by the concern’s Italian carrier Itech, has replaced two packaging lines for processing the pine nuts, shelled and peeled almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts of Madi Ventura’s Chieve (CR) facility, operating at a speed of up to 140 packagings/min for 50, 75 and 100 g pillow pouches.

The iTPS is made up of an Ishida RV 14-head weigher and an Atlas-204 snack packaging machine, which incorporates an innovative rotary double clamp system and superior control technology that minimizes wastage of raw material and film as well as machine stops for reel changeover.
The key advantages of the Ishida system adopted on the two lines, according to Madi Ventura, are precision, uniform results, ease of use and reduced costs, with a daily output of 88,000 packagings.
