Thus, MicroFlex e100 and MicroFlex e150 series servo drives are capable of reaching overcurrent values three times their rms, maintaining these output values for up to 3 seconds.

A torque increase of this magnitude enhances performance and reduces machine time cycles.

By introducing these overload characteristics, ABB has sought to offer the possibility of re-scaling setups and where possible reducing the size of the servo drives employed, in such a way reducing cost and bulk of the machine.
