Small, vacuum, reliable

With the purpose of differentiating its original production of packaging machinery, Minipack-Torre (Dalmine, BG) has for years focused its efforts on vacuum packaging machinery, seeking to expand its market opportunities and enjoying very positive results.

While for industrial packaging, the company’s range currently includes 45 models (in 15 different formats) of single and double chamber vacuum packaging machines, as well as those with a conveyor belt, it has also developed specific tabletop chamber solutions for the catering industry and smaller models destined for private consumption (with shares destined to grow further, according to the concern’s analysis).
Distributed for the most part in Europe and North America, the latest two types are proposed as “multi-use vacuum units”, such that they are to be used for marinating, cooking “sous vide” and compacting food products before storage.

Rotary vacuum pumps. Given the rising demand for smaller packaging machines (relative to the growing number of private users adopting this delicate method in order to create quality dishes), Minipack-Torre has also adopted on its small format models Busch’s R 5 rotary vane vacuum pumps. Already a longstanding choice of the Lombard concern as a preferred supplier, Busch has guaranteed that it will offer high quality equipment in this specific segment.

The R 5s are robust, minimizing the need for maintenance work, and the integrated cycle and recover lubrication system guarantees consistently high vacuum levels. The lubricant oil also cools and cleans the pump: in case of packaging humid or liquid products, the humidity is transferred to the pump as steam, without affecting performance or influencing vacuum levels. And this is essential, especially with small tabletop packaging machines, which are often used irregularly or intermittently, which prevents the vacuum pump from reaching the optimal operational temperature.
