Grain-based food: a super Ipack-Ima
Smiles and champagne at the stand of Bühler, a producer of installations for processing pasta and grain-based foods, following an event at which the concern showed the best of its technologies and competencies with an impactful show (with motorcycles, models and big screens).
«We’ve exceeded our every goal» was the comment given by the managers after the event, where the Swiss multinational presented first and foremost its new proposals for processing gluten-free pasta, food safety and the efficiency of its grain processing techniques.
Bühler, which invests up to 5% of its turnover in R&D, is the undisputed leader in the field of mills (which process 65% of the world’s wheat harvest) and dominates in systems for rice, pasta, chocolate and breakfast cereals. In 2014, the group generated a turnover of 2.3 billion Swiss francs.
Anticipating the trends of the food market with complete solutions for the production of traditional foods and the development of innovative product types and raw materials. With this goal, the Pavan Group set up at Ipack-Ima with a collective area for all its divisions - from milling; processes for dry pasta, fresh pasta and extruded products; handling and packaging - which presented their latest technologies aimed at maximizing efficiency and performance.
Positive return: the presence of an international audience specialized in the group’s sectors of operation transformed the stand into a place for encounters, discussion and sharing, a place in which to find optimal solutions for the present need and greenlight the most exciting experiments for years to come.
Among the many novelties at the fair, worth mention are two Stiavelli brand packaging systems. SO-EVO, dedicated to long noodles, is made up of a new adjustable channel double checkweigher and a horizontal packaging machine, equipped with a latest generation patented stripping gripper that enables removing the contents from the area to be sealed, in such a way guaranteeing the integrity and seal of the packaging. For short pasta, on the other hand, a system made up of 20 SPC20 heads and the new SVML vertical packaging machine was presented. This system guarantees high precision and speed for both classic and square bottom packaging.
Success for the multifunctional system Great satisfaction at Live Tech for the outcome of Ipack Ima where, in the great Opessi area, the company displayed six machines up and running, featuring its complete range of products. It was though the multifunctional compact system Compleo-LTL-3F that enjoyed the most success: a machine that, in only 6 x 3.5 metres, automatically carries out vertical forming, filling and closing of the cases of flow pack products. Its flexibility and great accessibility enable the reduction of format change times to less than 15 minutes. The series of Live Tech secondary packaging systems was completed by a vertical LVF forming machine, by the LCE H glue box opener, by an LCS closing device and by a speedy Capto-LTL pick&place, equipped with a quadriaxial commercial delta robot. |
At Ipack-Ima the huge Opessi stand stood out in the grain based food area, featuring the latest proposals of the companies represented by the same, making up a complete offer of machines: from end-of-line, where it features with the Live Tech (see above) and Mectra brands, going by way of packaging and wrapping (Comek, Eurosicma, Theegarten).
Highly positive the comments gathered at the end of the fair thanks to the full achievement of the marketing and contact objectives.
