Collaborative palletising island

Innovation and flexibility are the objectives that D.C.M. has always pursued in the packaging and automation sector.

Continuous research and careful analysis of customer needs have led the company to develop useful solutions for the end of the line and logistics, including Squirrel, a robotized island capable of operating in confined spaces in total safety and with maximum operational efficiency.

The technology used surpasses that of common palletizers and the product is specifically designed to produce pallets efficiently: it can be easily transported from one line to another, does not require mechanical adjustments, adapts to any production layout and allows for rapid format changes. In fact, the cobot mounted on a telescopic axis can reach 2400 mm of palletizing, moving as a seventh axis, and operates with 1200x1000mm, 1200x800mm and 600x800mm pallets. The payload is up to 20 kg with a box weight of up to 16 kg and various configurations of the machine are possible, with additional options such as the layer pad magazine or double and triple gripping heads.

The system is also able to manage two different box formats at the same time, thus being able to work on more lines. Finally, the ALCE software facilitates the creation and optimization of the layer configurations.
