Food packaging... we care!
Most food processing techniques require vacuum systems, and this is why Atlas Copco has developed an innovative array of smart vacuum pumps marked by energy saving and efficiency.
Atlas Copco GHS VSD+ screw technology makes it possible to enhance the performance of packaging machinery, guaranteeing significant energy savings. Atlas Copco GHS VSD+ screw pumps are suitable for all food sector applications: from packaging to drying/freeze-drying, and from vacuum cooling to curing Parma hams, and from degassing to dry pasta production. The company has developed a TURBO version, as well as a HUMID version. The TURBO version enables faster pumpdown operations, and, in most cases, enables eliminating the need for boosters on the machine, thereby reducing noise and heat in the packaging area.
The HUMID version, on the other hand, is suitable for high water handling operations (up to 100%), such as refrigerating salads and freeze-drying.
The distinguishing features that ensure the enhanced efficiency of GHS pumps are a Neos inverter (designed by Atlas Copco), a suction control valve, a rugged chamber design and the Elektronikon® monitoring system, which makes GHS pumps industry 4.0-ready.
