Hygienic Design for pneumatics

The debut at Cibus Tec of Aventics, with many food safe product lines and all the experience of Rexroth Pneumatics.

Originally founded as part of Rexroth Pneumatics and now an independent enterprise, counting among the major international players in pneumatics, Aventics brought to its first appearance at Cibus Tec its decades of experience servicing the food&beverage sector and a diverse range of products with high added value in terms of hygiene. Here are the main ones.
• Clean Line CL03 (1) is a multipolar valve system with IP69K electric protection, certified by the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group. It is thus suitable for processing food products and packaging in wet environments, because its cylinders - made from stainless steel and other FDA compliant materials - meet all hygienic requirements of the sector. Clean Line CL03 valves are protected against water spray, enable quick and efficient cleaning with high pressure water jet, and can be used with actuators thanks to their short flexible tubes that enable saving compressed air and therefore energy.
• The MH1 treatment unit enables preparing air directly in the food processing facility, thus preventing contamination from other sectors. Its robustness enables use in wash-down applications and high pressure cleaning, since it is made from 316 stainless steel (V4A), resistant to corrosion in all components (pressure reduction valves, filters and accessories). Its materials comply with NACE MR0175 specifications and ISO 15156 regulations, while its lubricants are NSF H1-certified and thus suited for use in the food sector. MH1 also guarantees maximum air purity standards, even in harsh environments.
• The NCT contactless transport system (2), which employs the lift force generated by compressed air, enables lifting and moving sensitive materials and products with irregular surfaces. NCT-PK, in particular, is made from polyetheretherketone (PEEK), a food safe material that is also useful in converting and transporting products containing traces of flour, powdered sugar or liquids.
• Finally, an obligatory mention goes to the ICS cylinders, featuring a stainless steel body with interlocking fixtures and cushioned adjustment screws, particularly suited for wash down applications and picking areas. These cylinders are resistant to acid and all types of liquids, even the most aggressive, preventing dust buildup to guarantee the hygienic conditions necessary for food processing. They are available in various configurations.
