Innovative end-of-line for jars

At Cosmopack, packaging and processing machines and systems presented by the new Cosmetics Division of the Marchesini Group.

In confirmation of the strategic importance of cosmetics packaging in the development plans of the Marchesini Group, Cosmopack will feature the presentation of an innovative end of line for packaging jars along with 5 standalone machines under the Dumek brand. A dedicated team will welcome guests to show the solutions on display and illustrate the potential of the Group’s new cosmetics division, already operational and soon to be set up close to the Pianoro headquarters, and that will include the Dumek machines.

Focus on MAV 60 and Farplus C
The line presented at the fair consists of two recently introduced solutions: the MAV 60, alternating automatic machine with vertical transportation of the carton, and the Farplus C automatic wrapping machine, available in both the standard version with lateral strainer straps as well as in the optimized version for cosmetics packaging with strainer plates that enable point seals to be obtained.
Compared to the previous version, the MAV 60 has a robotic product feed and a horizontal to vertical carton pick-up system, features that increase its speed and ergonomics. The automatic feeding also ensures maximum precision and delicacy in gripping the product, extreme care in its insertion into cartons to avoid any possible damage, and flexibility of feed even for non conventional forms.
Farplus C, in turn equipped with a robotic product feed, has an external product bypass, enabling non-stop production (80 packages/min). This wrapping machine performs best in packing cosmetics, thanks to the variety and  the high quality of the sealing operations: from the standard version for packaging single and grouped products such as as scents of all shapes and sizes, to the pointed and strip seal version for easy opening.

Farplus C is connected to the MAV 60 by Robocombi, a robotic arm that shifts the incoming box onto the conveyor belt directed towards the final wrapping station. Once placed on the belt, the box is positioned automatically and is pushed against the film, which wraps it with a finger movement. This type of movement enables the exact location of the carton, in order to perform any additional steps, and also prevents the cartons from coming into contact with each other. Three Dumek brand TURBO-MEK turboemulsioners with capacity of 25, 200 and 600 litres will be also on show along with a MELTER 120 and a TL 132 homogenizer dissolution tank.
