New actors in pneumatics

Aventics debuts in grand style at SPS IPC Drives Italy. Evolution of the Bosch Rexroth Pneumatics division, the new brand featured with the presentation of several new products.

With a name that combines the terms Advantage, Invention and Pneumatics and projects up to the new brand, Aventics plays the role of hi-tech manufacturer of pneumatic components and systems. It has many recipients, both in traditional market sectors (automotive, food & beverage, printing & converting, chemical and petrochemical, textiles and clothing... ) and in new industrial sectors, among which heavy industry and medical technology. The meaning of the start-up was effectively clarified by its CEO Fernando Gironi: «A strategic choice that has allowed us to become independent and specialize in the field of pneumatics with an eye to the future, oriented towards next-generation technologies. As well as that, it has allowed us to provide ourselves with a more streamlined corporate structure that will enable us to respond more efficiently to our customers’ needs».
At the fair the first examples of specialized proposals, among which the new series of valves, mini slides and components for the food industry.

Focus on innovation
New generation AV-Advanced Valves are made in plastic, more compact (45%) and lighter (half the weight of traditional metal valves). Holders of as many as 9 patents, the result of a new molding process specially developed for the realization of a structure that develops along the diagonal, they are manufactured using special polymers that make them lighter by 40% compared to the previous series, and consequently also reducing environmental impact. In the Aventics catalogue they feature as a flagship product and can be placed close to the actuator, reducing cycle times and facilitating installation. These same characteristics increase the energy efficiency and applicational flexibility of the system. The AV series can be installed in any kind of industrial automation context via integrated electronics or via remote connections, which are also made ​​of plastic, and communicates with all common field buses.

The MSC mini slides with pneumatic cushioning are groundbreaking and feature for their compact and modular structure that allows them to be used in all handling systems, even with pick and place functions. Among their main features: the symmetrical structure that allows the parallel assembly of two MSC mini slides along with other handling parts, easily integrated without additional mounting plates; superior performance capacity, thrust force and functionality; pretensioned drive system without play and sliding plane in a single component; dual-piston system for maximum load capacity; minimal maintenance; practical process configurator, available online for free. For the Food & Beverage Aventics offers a specific range of products.

These are a series of pneumatic hygienic design components, devised and designed to support frequent cycles of cleaning and disinfection in the food industry, that meet the relevant national and international regulations and standards.Some examples: the CL03 Clean Line super efficient system of pneumatic valves, with electrical protection class IP69K certified by the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG ) and suitable for wet area processes; the MH1 processing unit with all stainless steel components corrosion resistant, ensuring the highest air purity standards, even in harsh environments.
