ProGest launches new Trevibag division
The Treviso, Italy-based paper industry giant ProGest has further expanded its product range with the launch of the new Trevibag division as part of a €6 million investment.
The new unit will be part of Trevikart, the first company founded by the owner Bruno Zago back in 1973 and will be responsible for production and commercialisation of paper shoppers and bags based on both recycled and virgin fibres, using mainly lightweight paper coming from the group’s papermills.
The 5,000 sq.m converting site located just a few kilometres from the headquarters in Ospedaletto d’Istrana is already producing the first paper bags, opening up business opportunities in new sectors such as clothing, footwear, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and large-scale retail.
Trevikart comprises a network of interconnected facilities located in Istrana, Silea, Zero Branco, Modugno and Pontirolo Nuovo which design and produce 2 billion containers each year, including bottle packaging, pizza boxes, fruit and vegetable trays and food bowls.
