SormaTech sorter evolves with HyperVision
SormaTech, Sorma Group’s optical sorter designed to accurately and precisely sort fruit and vegetables, is now even more advanced and efficient.
The R&D department of the Spanish subsidiary Sorma Iberica has in fact developed the HyperVision platform, a state-of-the-art multi-wavelength lighting solution capable of analyzing up to 15 fruits per second, against the average 12 of other solutions on the market. Thanks to Sormatech’s exclusive Hyper-Map system, equipped with powerful deep learning algorithms, up to 2,160 images are processed for each fruit analyzed.
HyperVision employs 9 cameras for each line of the sorter (3 color and 6 Nir cameras, the near-infrared spectroscopy), which allows to detect, classify and counteract even the smallest imperfection, such as areas of over-ripening.
The platform acquires and analyzes overlapping hyperspectral images in both the visible and Nir regions. This ensures the best selection accuracy based on internal, external quality, color and shape. HyperVision is also distinguished by its Instan Defect interface for ease of use and maximum customization, as well as a faster, safer and virus immune Linux operating system.
