Australian Red Meat Industry rises to the challenge

The Australian red meat industry has issued reassurances that it is continuing to operate in complete safety and is committed to keeping the supply chain open and secure both within the country and abroad.

“Our industry is currently exporting red meat to over 100 countries globally, and we have a responsibility to continue to support our regional neighbours and their food production systems at this critical time. Federal, State and Territory Governments can help support industry immediately by waiving fees and charges”, said David Galvin, Chairman of ALEC (Australian Livestock Exporters’ Council).
