Award-winning knobs and electronic position indicators
The Elesa group, a supplier of standard components for the mechanical industry, machines and industrial equipment, recently took part in the exhibition MECSPE (Parma, 28-30 March 2019) where it displayed two new knobs that won the international IF Design Award and RED DOT Design Award for industrial design.
The first is the VB.839, a three-arm knob with a modern design consisting of two superimposed triangles rotated by an angle of 8°, a polyamide-based technopolymer core and chemically-bonded coating with semi-glossy finish. The centre cap in Elecolors colours allows for perfect coordination and aesthetic integration with existing machines.
The second device is the VTD torque limiting knob with ergonomics specially designed for a secure grip. It represents a real innovation in terms of clamping as an integrated torque limiter limits the torque applied by the operator (four maximum torques are available, from 2 to 6 Nm), preventing deformation of the application surfaces.
The company also displayed its DD52R-E-RF electronic position indicator featuring radio frequency data transmission together with a control unit (UC-RF) capable of controlling up to 36 electronic position indicators. Safe and easy to install, the system includes a large 6-digit display that is easy to read even at a distance and a long-life battery (more than 3 years). Characteristics include IP65 or IP67 protection marking, ideal for applications that require frequent water jet washing, and a high level of corrosion resistance thanks to the AISI 304 stainless steel boss with ø 20 mm hole.
