Caveco joins the Fabbri Group
Fabbri Group, a historic Modena-based company and market leader in the field of food packaging machinery and films, is expanding its range of action with the acquisition of Caveco, a company based in Palazzolo sull’Oglio, province of Brescia.
According to Fabbri Group’s CEO Stefano Mele, the acquisition will enable the group to further strengthen its position in the strategic segment of heat-sealing machines and packaging lines, a field in which Caveco has been operating for 40 years. “We will share our experience and skills to optimise our business and the solutions we have acquired while continuing to invest in the development of our products and the market,” commented Mele.
In turn, Caveco will be able to inject greater pace into its recently initiated internationalisation process by leveraging the strength of a group whose presence spans 80 countries with 500 employees, 3 manufacturing units (2 in Italy and 1 in Switzerland) and 6 commercial and service companies in Italy, France, Germany, UK, Switzerland and Russia.
Over the years the Brescia-based company has built up a solid reputation thanks to the ruggedness and reliability of its machines and has also specialised in the dosage of problematical products such as coleslaw, semisolid products, etc. and in the supply of complete lines for the preparation of a range of food items.
Its strong market focus has enabled it to become one of the first companies in the world to acquire extensive experience in the field of protective atmosphere packaging and skin packaging of fresh meat products using heat-sealing machines. The Vellutini family will continue to hold a stake in the company and will make an active contribution to the Group’s future development.
