Flavours and natural ingredients. Create Flavours joins the Nactarome Group

Ambienta, a European Private Equity fund focused on sustainability, has acquired 100% of Create Flavours, one of the largest UK producers of natural flavours for the food & beverage industry.

The deal will enable Ambienta to continue to strengthen its subsidiary Nactarome Group, the European market leader in the field of flavours and natural ingredients with a turnover in excess of €110 million and more than 4,200 customers served through 10 production plants in Europe.

Based in Clevedon, Create Flavours boasts a range of over 20,000 products, patented technologies for the optimisation of powder flavours and a customer base made up of 200 of the most recognised British and international food brands.

The growth rate of the natural ingredients segment is among the highest in the entire food sector. In 2019, the market grew twice as fast as the food industry as a whole, which instead remained stable at 2-3%. AromataGroup, Ipam and Nactis Flavours have all joined Nactarome in the last two years.
