New Stand-up Pouch for olive oil

Ireland-based company Smurfit Kappa, one of the world leaders in Bag-in-Box^® packaging solutions, recently launched a new Stand-up Pouch for olive oil.

Part of its innovative Pouch-Up^® portfolio, the new pouch is available as a 1.5 litre unit and weighs 17 times less than its glass counterpart.

This weight reduction, along with the pouch’s space-saving format, also leads to a significant reduction in the use of plastic and in CO₂ emissions during transport.

Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box^® aims to minimise its impact on the environment throughout every aspect of its operations, from supply through to manufacturing, distribution and recycling.

The pouch works with both automatic and semi-automatic filling machines and allows custom labels to be added for increased brand recognition.
