Tissue manufacturer PCMC acquires Serbian company Stax Technology

The Italian company Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC) has acquired Serbian firm Stax Technologies, a packaging machinery supplier specialising in the tissue sector.

The acquisition adds reciprocating flow technology to PCMC’s tissue packaging product line offering. Since 2005 PCMC has been part of the Barry-Wehmiller Companies group (USA), a world leader in the supply of paper and cardboard converting technology for the packaging industry.

The company operates at two production sites, one in Barga (Lucca, Italy) and the other in Green Bay (USA), and employs a total workforce of more than 1,000 people.

It also has branch offices in Germany, UK, Japan, China and Mexico.
