Xeikon brings Folding Carton Suite to interpack
Exhibition is part of Xeikon’s What’s Next campaign to show how digital production is fundamental in a changing world.
Xeikon, a division of Flint Group and a market leader in digital color printing technology for the labels and packaging industry, will bring its Folding Carton Suite to interpack. Presented in Hall 13 - Stand E90 will be Xeikon’s full folding carton production solution based on its flagship the Xeikon 3500 digital press, integral to Xeikon’s What’s Next campaign to show how digital production is fundamental in a changing world.
Recording the highest demand among exhibitors in its history of over 55 years, interpack 2017 covers the entire value chain of the packaging industry: from packaging material production and packaging equipment to distribution, quality assurance and consumer protection. During interpack, Xeikon experts will demonstrate how the digital Folding Carton Suite can complement a business in providing flexibility in smaller runs and faster response, and expand opportunities to attract new customers and revenue streams.
Gert Geens, Business Development Manager, Folding Cartons, says:
“Folding boxboard and digital printing have a bright future ahead. We can help brands stand out and respond to key market trends of shorter run times, just-in-time requests, more variation, seasonal packaging, smaller lot sizes, optimized supply chains and personalization. At interpack 2017 Xeikon will present a proven folding carton solution that underlines the advantage of digital production in these applications.”
Optimizing folding carton production
The five-color Xeikon 3500 digital press for folding carton applications has a broad color gamut range making it ideally suited for cosmetics, food, beverages, and pharma segments. It will be demonstrated live at interpack. Xeikon will show the ease of producing eye-catching folding carton applications at true 1200 dpi print resolution on its B2 sheet size or larger. As part of the suite, the Xeikon X-800 digital front-end with fully automated workflow handles job preparation and enables superior and consistent print quality.
Flint Group’s sheetfed solutions division will also be present on stand with complementary solutions featuring low migration inks and coatings, with high-level advisers providing key information on printing of food packaging for consumer safety.
What's next campaign
The market of packaging is constantly undergoing change with a higher range of SKU's. Converters are challenged to find the right answers to these questions as there are so many opportunities to invest in. Xeikon will educate interpack visitors about the value of going digital in folding carton production with a complete end-to-end solution, from order to final product, with the Xeikon Folding Carton Suite.
This includes the press, workflow with dedicated folding carton software and components, toners ideally suited for folding carton production, a range of print media and converting equipment. Also presented will be Xeikon’s range of solutions for printing of labels and packaging media.
