Double acquisition for the Piab Group
The external growth strategy of the Swedish group continues, having simultaneously completed the acquisition of two companies: the French company Coval, and the German company, IB Verfahrens-und Anlagentechnik
Two strategic acquisitions, one in France and the other in Germany, have characterised the recent activities of Piab, the Swedish group specialised in automated process components and solutions (gripping, lifting and handling applications) for various industrial sectors, including food & beverage, pharmaceutical, plastic, chemicals and packaging. Coval, based in Montélier, and IB Verfahrens-und Anlagentechnik, based in Lage-Heiden, in the western Westfalia district, have now become part of the Piab world, bringing with them extensive know-how in their respective reference sectors.

With over 35 years of history, Coval can boast a turnover of 23 million euros, has 135 employees and operates in 60 countries.
IB Verfahrens-und Anlagentechnik reinforces the Vacuum Conveying BU
IB develops and constructs turnkey systems for the filling, emptying, dosage and transporting of bulk materials for the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. The company also stands out in the additive manufacturing sector, to which it supplies ultrasonic sieving and powder recovery systems.
IB’s offer and expertise represent a turning point for the Vacuum Conveying Division, which will have the opportunity to further grow and provide a highly professional service to the clientele – declared Floris Rouw, Chairman of the B.U.
IB Verfahrens-und Anlagentechnik was founded in 2006 as an engineering company and today has around 30 employees.
