Vacuum in the food industry

Vacuum packing an industrial food product immediately after the production process is the best way to preserve its quality and maintain its value.

In this sense screw vacuum pumps play an important role, because they ensure a high level of final vacuum and less oxygen residue in the pack, thus preventing the proliferation of mould and bacteria, responsible for the spoilage of foodstuffs.

Completely dry, air or water cooled screw vacuum pumps, are among the specific solutions for food packaging devised by Service Air which, from its headquarters in Cesano Maderno (MB) provides advice, technical assistance and services designed to ensure maximum productivity for all users. The company  among other things organizes special tests to evaluate the replacement of an old oil lubricated vacuum pump rotary screw with a new screw, to reduce costs and save energy.

Technical data and characteristics. The screw vacuum pumps proposed by Service Air stand out for their simplicity, compact size, low noise and lesser installed power.
Scaled down in size and more efficient, they can be used via the inverter integrated in the electric motor and are suitable for the suction of non aggressive substances.
Their operation is based on the contactless scroll operation principle, without use of lubricating fluids and is synchronized by a pair of gears secluded from the compression chamber that work frictionless. In addition, the single-stage construction enables operation without limitation between atmospheric pressure and the resulting vacuum.
