Arcoplastica invests more than a million and a half euro

The Andezeno based company, at the top of thermoformed and extruded plastic materials sector,  confirms its commitment to Italian market, and present an important plan of investments destined to innovate divisions, quality and build improvements to a production site.

Having led the sector of thermoformed and extruded plastic materials for more than thirty years, Arcoplastica (Andezeno, TO) remains faithful to its role as a cutting edge enterprise dedicated to researching unique solutions, with the goal of guaranteeing an advanced service standard, tailored to the demands of the market and with complete respect for the environment. Even in a macroeconomic situation that is in many ways difficult, the concern also confirms its loyalty to the Italian market, and it does so with a multi-pronged investment that, as a whole, amounts to more than one and one half million euro.
Within the concern’s extrusion division, the lion’s share of production at its Andezeno site, Arcoplastica has implemented a revamping of the automatic dosing systems in its extrusion lines, setting up combustible powder containment systems (for example for PET, PP, PS, etc.) in order to protect the purity of the air and enhance worker safety, preventing the formation of potentially explosive atmospheres.
This action strengthens the jewel of the concern’s production: indeed, extrusion is the standard bearer of Arcoplastica’s offer, given that, throughout Europe, only very few concerns are able to offer this valuable service in combination with food packaging production.Extrusion represents a significant advantage for customers since, thanks to the competency it has acquired in this field, the company can offer them personalized consulting, which entails studying and selecting the most suitable raw materials for each project, as well as the creation of plastic mixtures ad hoc (alongside the numerous standard types in the catalog, these make up the wide and diverse range of products offered).

Another renewal process underway at Arcoplastica involves investing in the thermoforming sector: two new lines - the first active since January 2015, the second since April - will join the automated division, bringing the number of production lines to 15.  In order to further enhance control and quality standards, which the concern has always combined with a concrete and consistent respect for the environment, Arcoplastica has implemented a safety management system, with the goal of obtaining the new worker health and safety management system certification following the OHSAS 18001 standard, which will join the ISO 9001, the ISO 14.001 and the BRC/IOP standards.

And so, Arcoplastica is investing robustly in all areas for the future, with the precise objective of further consolidating its presence on the market and focusing on taking advantage of its standout capacity for presiding over the entire production cycle of standard and special packaging, created from various types of single and multilayer plastic materials. From identification and planning of the raw material up through to extrusion or thermoforming and the delivery of the finished product, Arcoplastica manages all production phases in house, to the benefit of quality and excellence.
