Award-winning anti-waste practices

Conceived by journalist and writer Antonio Galdo, the  “Non Sprecare 2015” Don’t Waste 2015 award and the site www.nonsprecare.it, promote projects and good socio-economic practices against the unnecessary consumption.

Now in its sixth year, the award has some hefty partners (Ministry of the Environment, WWF, National Research Council, University of Rome La Sapienza, Catalan Foundation and University LUISS Guido Carli that in addition to providing scientific supervision and logistics, host the awards in late November).
The initiative is divided into five sections (Character, Companies, Institutions and Associations, Schools, Youth) and caters to different actors of civil society, individuals and/or legal person who have undertaken useful and original anti waste projects.

The winners will be awarded with the supply of organic products, in amounts equal to their body weight, offered by the Alce Nero Group.
For this years projects should be submitted no later than October 15, 2015, to [email protected].
A curiosity: among the projects already signed up for the competition one finds Chicza, a biological, supportive and completely biodegradable chewing gum, putting a stop to chewing gum thrown away that contaminates the environment and disfigure it. Sweetened only with organic Agave syrup, Chicza does not contain gluten or aspartame.
