Food contact compliance conference
Baveno-Stresa, 23-25 September 2015. In late September, under the auspices of EXPO 2015, Istituto Italiano Imballaggio will hold the second international conference to supply updates and information on packaging in contact with food products.
The speakers appearing are highly skilled authorities in the discipline, hailing from important international institutions and leading enterprises. They will mainly address European and international legislation (including BPA updates); risk assessment; migrations and related technologies; EU Guidelines for testing; mutual recognition; the ASEAN common market. Also scheduled are specific reports on the main approaches to European food contact legislation, including “behind the scenes” dynamics and questions never addressed in official documents.
Given the success of 2014’s conference, which brought together 180 participants (businesspeople and managers in the fields of quality, research and development, private and public labs), the Istituto will offer the same format, albeit with a few significant changes. The main ones are:
• important topics such as NIAS will be discussed in a round table open to audience participation;
• the afternoon of September 23 will be dedicated to a visit to the JRC, a reference lab of the European Commission, in Ispra;
• the afternoon of September 25, the conference will be moved to Milan in order for participants to visit EXPO 2015.
