Hispack unveils TrendPack
TrendPack is the name of a new space dedicated to innovations in packaging that redefine characteristics and functions and are revolutionizing the market.
It’s one of the new additions at the next Hispack (Barcelona, April 21st-24th), designed by the organizers of the Spanish packaging fair in order to promote solutions that feature high added value in terms of technology, originality and concept. A work group made up of packaging directors from trend-setting concerns (Vichy Catalan, Nestlè, Danone, Henkel...) identifies them for the benefit of visitors seeking opportunities to diversify, be they commercial, logistics, marketing or research & development division representatives, in industrial and largescale consumption enterprises.
The fair’s next edition will see the participation of 700 concerns representing the entire life cycle of packaging, from materials and recycling to machinery, processes and logistics. Concerns represented will be divided among the classic areas and in the new TrendPack, where suppliers of economically and environmentally sustainable packaging, active and smart packaging, new customization techniques, anti-counterfeiture technologies, multi-channel communication... This new space will also host conferences, business meetings and presentations of success stories with the aim of fostering interactions between professionals, researchers, experts and representatives of supply and demand. Hispack is also working to create a dedicated space for luxury packaging that targets the markets of perfumes and cosmetics, beverage, food products and jewelry. According to Smithers Pira, during the next 5 years this sector is expected to grow by an average of 4%.
