MG2 was founded at the end of the 60’s when Bologna already was, as it still is, the centre of excellence in automatic machine development and production, fully deserving its title of packaging valley.

The company, originally established as a start-up, has today become a multinational, world-wide leader in the production of capsule fillers, solid and liquid pharmaceutical product capsule filling solutions, automatic machines for packaging and end-of -line, with a production paradigm which has remained unchanged over the years, based on reliability, quality, accuracy and production efficiency. MG2 is the result of the innovative approach of Sig. Ernesto Gamberini, renowned then and now as a brilliant and passionate automatic machine designer, who at the time the company was founded, in cooperation with other young partners, believed he could revolutionize the industry by placing the onus on efficacy and flexibility.

This  revolutionary approach became MG2’s driving force over the decades,  in 50 years transforming the company,  now headed by the third generation of the Gamberini family, into a concern with not only solid local roots, but with an equally strong international calling, also thanks to its by now historical and active presence on the US market through MG America. MG2’s  American sister company, that controls the US market thanks also to its direct contact with the customer, recently celebrated its 30 years of activity. With a total turnover exceeding 30 million Euro in 2017, and thanks to its complete range of products, MG2 represents the perfect partner, that has been capable for more than 50 years of guaranteeing reliability, productivity, accuracy and ongoing product innovation during all production steps, from R&D to end-of-line.

Packaging & processing: MG America’s proposals for the US market

GSL10 is a compact, side-load case-packer for carton packaging inside corrugated shippers with speed up to 10 cases/minute. Cases are positively/forced opened by two sets of suctions cups, to guarantee perfect material handling. Machine changeover is very fast and mainly based on adjustments. Print & apply labeler, case rotation at out-feed, and check-weigher are among the common options for this machine. GSL10 is serialization/aggregation ready: FIFO verification and code aggregation with cartons inside the shipper are both feasible. 

Planeta In terms of processing this model of capsule filler is a benchmark for customers looking for flexibility in terms of speed, with an upgradable production output ranging from 6,000 up to 100,000 capsules/hr, as well as in terms of dosing options, product combination and weight control systems.
