More sustainable hygiene

Devised by Sofidel  (leading  producer of tissue paper for hygienic and domestic use, headquartered at Porcari, Lucca), Papernet Bio Tech is an innovative and biologically active paper that, thanks to a a mix of spores, makes the decomposition of the organic material more effective, contributing to minimising limescale, blockages and bad smells, as well as significantly decreasing the Total Bacteria Count and the concentration of Stafilococcus Aureus.

The test, commissioned by the company from the Department Chemistry and Biology of the University of Pisa and carried out with the cooperation of the Comune di Peccioli (PI) has registered a consolidation of the levels of hygiene in the waste water throughout the municipality, biologically improving sewer discharges, with a potential reduction of maintenance costs.
