Parker’s 100 years

«Our success is based on honest dealing, hard work, common purpose and quality of products».

With these words, at the beginning of the last century, Art Parker indelibly marked the route of the company that bears his name. Clear business principles that are still valid today in Parker Hannifin Corporation (NYSE:PH), the global leader in Motion & Control technologies.
Born as Parker Appliance Company in a small loft in Cleveland, Ohio, it produced pneumatic braking systems and fittings, which Arthur L. Parker developed with Carl Klamm. From the first patent for a hydraulic tool capable of controlling the speed of electric power generators a century has gone by, and today the company has more than 8,000 patents to its credit.
55,000 employees worldwide, nine technology platforms, hundreds of thousands of customers, 300 factories in 50 countries, 13,000 independent distributors and more than 3,000 ParkerStore retail outlets but, above all, products that are found in and around all systems equipped with engineering components that facilitate the movement and control of fluids and gases: this is the current picture of Parker,  that looks to the future bolstered by a century of experience, capable of best combining with the technological advances of today.
