Plastic: a “circular” integration model
A leading company in the collection and recycling of plastic waste and in the production of high quality regenerated plastics, Aliplast presence is a must at Ecomondo, the main European trade fair for industrial and technological innovation at the service of the circular economy, of which the company represents an example of excellence.
In recent years Aliplast has established itself on the market as a constantly growing reality, which operates to guarantee an ethically responsible management of plastics, capable of minimizing the impact on the environment, starting from the recovery and regeneration of plastic waste, a practice that stands as one of the main means for safeguarding the future of the planet.
At Ecomondo the company will be present in the Hera Group exhibition area (Pavilion C1), a multiunity of which it is part after joining in 2017 joining Herambiente, a leading national operator in the treatment of all types of waste. This integration has helped to determine the Group’s entry into the CE100, the prestigious Ellen MacArthur Foundation international network, which brings together the 100 realities most involved at world level in the transition towards a circular economy.
In line with Aliplas’s mission, this year the Hera stand at Ecomondo will be dedicated to the theme of plastic recycling. It is therefore an important opportunity to get to know a reality of excellence in this field, able to offer tailor-made services and customized solutions, made possible by the complete integration throughout its entire life cycle of this material.
A “closed loop” that embraces the entire supply chain
Aliplast produces regenerated polymers, flexible films in PE and rigid films in PET that meet the needs of different economic chains: furniture, automotive, construction, paper and paper industry, cosmetics and home care. To the production and sale on the market of manufactured articles and packaging materials, mostly produced in its own recycled plastic, Aliplast combines environmental management and packaging waste collection services, which are used to directly supply the company’s internal processes of advanced recycling.
It is a circuit that represents one of the few closed loop systems that currently exist at an Italian and European level, in the plastics sector, creating a “circular” model thanks to which regenerated polymers are obtained, subsequently used in production, or marketed outside the company.
The recovery rate, compared to incoming volumes, exceeds 90%, with more than 90,000 tons of regenerated plastic every year, compared to which Aliplast avoids the annual emission of over 150,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
