SOMIC reinforces its social commitment
At ProPak Asia 2026, a donation about THB 1 million was given to the Beaumont Partnership Foundation to support educational initiatives in Thailand
SOMIC, a leading international provider of end-of-line automation solutions with its own subsidiary in Thailand since 2023, presented a donation of THB 1,000,000 to the Beaumont Partnership Foundation during ProPak Asia in Bangkok. The contribution will help support several educational initiatives, including the provision of textbooks for students at the Beaumont Ruam Pattana School.
"Choosing Thailand as SOMIC’s location was a strategic decision. Key factors were its central position within the Asia-Pacific region, its excellent infrastructure, and its highly educated workforce. We benefit from all of these advantages", said Dr. Gerhard Huber, Group CEO of SOMIC, during the check presentation ceremony.
"However, for us, economic success is inseparable from responsibility. Our social commitment does not stop at national borders. We are dedicated to helping ensure that children from financially disadvantaged families also have access to quality education. Giving back a portion of our success to the communities in which we operate is an important part of who we are".
Through this donation, SOMIC is supporting an educational project with a direct and lasting regional impact. The financial assistance provided to the Beaumont Ruam Pattana School will benefit children and young people who might otherwise have limited or no access to quality educational resources and opportunities.
The symbolic check presentation took place during ProPak Asia in Bangkok and was attended by Tim Beaumont, CEO of the Beaumont Partnership Foundation, as well as teachers and students from the Beaumont Ruam Pattana School. Representing SOMIC were Dr. Gerhard Huber, Group CEO, and Dr. Wilasinee Sangsom, Site Director of SOMIC APAC.
Dr. Huber emphasized the broader importance of corporate citizenship: "For us, social responsibility means more than treating our employees fairly and respectfully.
