Food “safurity”: meeting point between safety, security and sustainability

On May 5, at the Auditorium Testori Palazzo Lombardia, Milan will host the conference “Food Safurity: bridging safety and security”.

The initiative is part of the series of conferences, under the project “Exhibition Spaces for the Research - Italian Pavilion EXPO2015” within the Regione Lombardia - Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche Framework Agreement along with the participation of Unioncamere Lombardia.
Open to a public of sector operators (admission is free after registration on www.expo.cnr.it/it/node/124), the conference opens with the description of the “ideal factory”, structured to ensure the value of food, and continues with interventions on technologies that safeguard the quality and safety of products, packaging types based on new materials, modern logistics and transport systems.
 
The program

After the salutations, Giacomo Copani of ITIA-CNR will open the day with a report entitled “The food industry in the future: possible scenarios and enabling technologies” followed by Daniel Rossi of the European “Food for Life”- Confagricoltura Platform, who will speak of “Global supply chains and the identity of the food industry in the future”.
 
Moderated by Diego Breviario (IBBA-CNR), the day will continue with other contributions.

The conference continues in the afternoon, with other interventions and a final discussion.
