The Paris Packaging Innovation Hub - February 3 to 4, 2016, Paris

First came PCD (Perfumes Cosmetics and Design), launched in 2001 by Oriex with the formula of exhibition and conference, to update the market on developments in beauty packaging.

It has won a name for itself in the sector community as an opportunity for updating and encounter, allowing one, in the corridors and conference rooms, to meet up with the top management of the big brands of cosmetics and perfumery that in Paris, not far from Espace Champerret that host this expo, generally have their European headquarters.
Then in 2007 came ADF (Aerosol and Dispensing Forum), focused, as the name suggests, on personal care dispensing systems but not only (interesting, among other things the openings in the food sector): a diptych of great interest, which in 2015 attracted 5,800 visitors and 370 exhibitors, hosted over 90 conferences and included the assigning of two coveted innovation awards.
The last edition registered two new features: Pet’s Packaging Forum and Vet’s Forum (PPF & VPF), with focus on pet product packaging which, as is known, features as a gradually expanding market.
Indeed these progressive developments have encouraged the organizers to rename the whole event as “The Paris Packaging Innovation Hub”, scheduled 3 and 4 February, 2016.

From Paris to New York, in support of exports. For Oriex, however, the commitment will not be the only event in Paris in 2016. In fact following the orientation of the sector companies, it now kicks off on other side of the Atlantic targeting the thriving North American market with the inauguration on the 13 and 14 September at The Altman Building & Metropolitan Pavilion, Manhattan, the first “ New York Packaging Innovation Hub”, promising to showcase “the future of the aerosol, dispensing and of beauty packaging”. As anticipated by Aurore Domange, director of the event, the popular “educational” Parisian format will be repeated at the New York event, featuring conferences, B2B (expected, for now, more than 120 exhibitors) and awards.
The talks (to be proposed to the organizers by 7 March 2016) will as always centre on technological updates, trends and the market. More information at www.pcd-congress.com.
