Humanocentrism and cobotic palletisation
Bosch Rexroth took part at SPS Italia with numerous technological proposals, including a palletizer cobot with 7 axles, which is a unique solution of its kind on the market.
Fruit of the recent acquisition of Kassow Robots, producer of light collaborative robots, the solution confirms a key design principle: humanocentrism, meaning the virtuous combination of man and machine, of operator and technology.
Kassow Robots’ light robots can be used in various ways in industrial production, with high useful load and capacity, and are also able to operate in tight spaces with a flexibility very close to that of a human arm. Underpinning the functioning of the palletisation island is the ctrlX Automation open ecosystem, characterised by a software architecture to which it is possible to access through the Linux operating system.
The solution is hardware-free and allows the user to install and update apps developed in any language, without interrupting the operation of the system. The platform makes it possible, moreover, to configure applications considered useful for the different production phases, from assembly to control of the materials, from the management of stocks to safety.
