The advantages of modular design
High performance, greater durability and flexibility, quick delivery, drastically reduced assembly and maintenance times: these, in sum, are the benefits of Interroll’s new generation of drum motors.
A leading manufacturer in the global market of components for material handling and intralogistics, the Interroll Group has announced the launch of a new platform of drum motors for conveyor belts, to be initially introduced in the European market and then, over the course of the year, also in the Americas and in Asia.
The completely modular construction of these motors, which are available in both synchronous and asynchronous versions for logistics and manufacturing applications, was developed in order to drastically reduce production and delivery times: all the components can be quickly combined with ease, speeding assembly and maintenance operations. Machine stops are minimized, carrying significant economic advantages for the user.
Enhanced usability, starting with the power supply, which in contrast to previous editions, is transmitted through a simple plug-in connector.
The structural advantages of the new generation of drum motors includes more robust ball bearings and axes, guaranteeing greater durability; a stable epicycloidal reduction gear for efficient (and ultra-quiet) transmission of higher torque to the conveyor belt; more transmissions, enabling the user to choose from a wider array of speeds.
Furthermore, each motor model in the line is available with a complete range of optionals, from brake encoders to non-return devices.
A bonus feature is energy efficiency: reduced power loss translates into lowered operating costs.
Finally, all Interroll drum motors of this latest generation feature IP69K protection for quick and simple cleaning, making them compliant with food industry standards.
