An evolved end-of-line that anticipates market trends

The circular economy, the conservation of resources, digital technologies and product security are the guiding themes of Aetna Group’s presence at interpack, where the international leader in the end-of-line sector will be displaying applications designed to monitor energy consumptions, save material and ensure a safe management of products.

40 years of company history and constant technological research and development allow Aetna Group to exhibit its innovation solutions in an area of over 750 sq.m., combining automation, customization, attention towards the circular economy and digital integration to meet all production needs with the highest technological standards.

Measuring sustainability and safety. The TechLab is one of the fundamental assets of this process: it’s a network of laboratories located in Italy, Germany, Spain, United States and Brasil, today recognised throughout the world, working to optimise the stabilisation of palletised loads. The Group certifies to its customers a reduction of up to 55% of damages to goods during transport and a material saving of up to 60%, setting itself the objective of containing energy and material consumption while guaranteeing maximum safety of the packaging, with the aim of identifying the solution with the least environmental impact and the best performances in load stabilization.

Packaging automation. For a high-performance and automated end-of-line, the Group offers the very high-speed Genesis Thunder wrapper by Robopac, which guarantees a production of over 200 pallets per hour with the new ARC device for the automatic replacement of the winding coil. The solution is then supported by the Auriga LGV shuttle, the OCME brand flagship model of laser-guided vehicles or the integrated logistics management and control.

Looking at the packaging and logistics lines designed for pet-food, Robopac offers a completely automated and extremely compact solution: the Superbox 8 HD, the cardboard box forming machine, followed by the Cobopac Pick&Place system for the automatic input of packages, combined with the Robotape 50 CF taping machine. For the final palletisation, stabilisation and internal handling phases, there are Cobopac Pal, the Integra NN natural navigation vehicle t and Rototech CW 708 PVS, the ideal solution for automatic wrapping of particularly unstable products with stretch film.

Completing the offer is Robot S7, the latest generation self-propelled packing machine which is presented to the public in two versions: one equipped with all the optionals, including R-Connect, the technology that makes it possible to constantly monitor the machine and thereby optimizing production performances; the other is fitted with the Stop&Go function, for immediate stoppage in the presence of obstacles and automatic restarting.

Green technologies. Aetna’s offer is composed of two key solutions for the sector: ReCYCLE, the machine for the compacting and reduction of up to 70% of the volumes of waste materials and the new Technoplat 3000PWJ, the rotating table for paper wrapping, which is one of the major new developments in terms of respect of the environment and sustainability.

Solutions for secondary packaging. Aetna Group presents three different solutions at the trade fair, two of which ae the result of the recent acquisition of the historical German company, Meypack, the last production unit to enter into the Group in June 2022 and the fourth outside Italy after those acquired in the USA, Brazil and China.

We are referring to VP602, a case packer for the packaging of cases containing coffee capsules with display trays and lids and the FW200, again by Meypack, a bundler with inexpensive wrapping film: without shrink tunnels, it allows for a significant saving of energy and space in the horizontal packaging of boxes of frozen and non-frozen products for transport, to which it is possible to also add the “easy open” hook and loop strip option. The roundup closes with Sotemapack’s WA20 for the wrap-around cardboard packaging of tubs of food products.

Tailored palletisation and Industry 4.0. To complete the fleet of machines, OCME-brand traditional and robotised palletisation technologies have for 67 years been synonymous throughout the world with reliability, efficiency and flexibility.
