Coating heads for hotmelt
The new Robatech 2FK IT 25/50/75 heads ensure greater flexibility in intermittent surface coating, combining the features of the previous two solutions: the FK-IT nozzles with their own mask technology, and the precision and speed of the SX FK guns.
With the FK IT series Robatech has thus optimized the flexibility of the bonding process in industrial adhesive applications: double action and electropneumatic, they guarantee accurate cutting even at high speeds and a high number of cycles.
They can be used with low/medium viscosity thermoplastic adhesives and are suitable for applications to a maximum width of 75 mm.
The FK IT series is used for roll-to-roll or single sheet coating applications in the gluer machines (case in which it can be connected with the feed roller or with an ad hoc designed support unit).
Accuracy, cost savings and efficiency
Functionally the coating pistol element is opened and closed via electropneumatic valves with a “negative” closing phase, guaranteeing high precision in both application and cut.
By using the mask in the coating nozzle, the application pattern can be adapted to respective requirements: the different mask shapes and thicknesses simplify format change operations and increase the repeatability of the application model.
The systems have been designed with overall machine optimisation in mind: saving of residue amounts of the adhesive; trouble free application thanks to the integrated filter that minimizes nozzle blocking; easy integration into existing systems, due to the compact, slim coating gun design combined with the connections (adhesive, compressed air and power supply) placed on top of the nozzle.
Lastly, the temperature control combined with the masking technology keeps the coating silhouette constant while the special optional “CoolTouch” insulation ensures greater operational safety by reducing energy consumption. Maintenance and service are made even easier via access from above.
