Meeting the challenges of the smart factory

There are many new features in the new version of zenon 11, Copa Data’s software platform.

With the integrated MTP standard, production lines can be divided into independent and interchangeable services, creating what is referred to as “Plug and Produce” production. 
zenon 11 is the first version of the software platform to natively include the zenon MTP Suite, to support manufacturers in modulating their processes, accompanying them on their journey to increasingly flexible manufacturing.

The new version of zenon also comes with an improved design, strengthened cyber-security measures and more compatible protocols, plus Alarm Shelving, a new feature that helps users manage alarms and error signals securely, allowing them to distinguish between low priority and higher urgency. A process developed according to ISA-18.2-2016 and IEC 62682 standards for alarm system management in process industries.

Security has also been improved with multi-factor authentication and new encryption for zenon networks with TLS v1.3 certificates.

The Batch Module has been significantly revamped and now offers the ability to automatically generate and export reports after a batch is completed. In addition, continuous synchronization between server and standby, with reliable redundancy, ensures batch continuity even in the event of server failure.

Finally, with the launch of the zenon Academy, users can access online courses or in-person training dedicated to the zenon Software Platform and specific training content aimed at different industries.
