Full-wrap labelling for fish and seafood with the L310
Fresh and frozen fish products are usually packed in skin packs or trays with a simple label or partially-wrapped cardboard sleeve for presentation, a solution that often fails to convey to consumers the high quality of the product.
Full-wrap labelling on the Multivac L310 labeller guarantees a high-impact label. The system makes it possible to automatically apply a self-adhesive full wrap label on up to four sides of a pack while offering plenty of scope for customisation. The labelling output is up to 120 packs per minute with a maximum label width of 500 mm. Depending on requirements, a wide range of thermal transfer or thermal inkjet printers can be integrated into the labeller. The labeller can be equipped with a zero downtime function for even higher overall output. Optional label and print inspection ensures that only perfectly labelled products are sent to market.
Unlimited flexibility. The potential of full wrap labelling is also practically unlimited in terms of application and design. The possibilities range from a banderole for skin packs to a complete full wrap envelope with cut-out sections and through to an all-over label for tray-packed ready meals. Depending on requirements, additional functions can be integrated such as perforation, opening aids, viewing windows or adhesive-free zones. Multivac’s range of materials includes label thicknesses from 70 to 130 g/m², so that every product can be presented attractively.
Sustainable materials for every need. With its wide range of suitable label materials and adhesives, Multivac offers the right solution for every requirement. In addition to PP and PET labels, materials made of paper or from other renewable sources are available for selection. The individual packaging components can easily be separated after use, so that they can then be directed to the specific recycling stream. Particularly light label material also reduces the weight of the packs, thereby improving transport and the CO2 balance.
