Innovation and accessories for labeling
Old friends, new contacts and a great deal of interest for Altech at the latest PPMA (Birmingham, 29 September - 1 October 2015), where the Bareggio (MI) based concern showed its innovative ALline system, completely automated and equipped for labeling paint cans.
Characterized by fluid and precise functioning, this solution performs a complex job: it applies two register labels on the edge of the can and prints and applies a sample label.
A technology demo was also given of the Liquid Lens packaging for sweets, which Altech offered PPMA visitors in tubes, jars and bags labeled with its machine. In particular, the tubes were labeled using an ALline equipped with roller conveyor and an innovative integrated hopper. Bags and jars, on the other hand, were labeled on a single multifunction ALbelt, equipped with an ALritma head equipped with an ICE printer. The versatility of the ALbelt enables the Liquid Lens system to automatically process both products: bags are conveyed on a belt thanks to the ALfeed, while jars arrive from a rotating table and are labeled with a seal of guarantee, applied in “ribbon” form and then wrapped using a pneumatic system. ALbelt is designed to function at 50-60 pcs/min, adapting to the rhythm of other packaging operations.
New equipment for short runs. Altech completes its already rich range of accessories with a series of economical modules serving the more limited labeling requirements, usually during product launches (but not only). These include dispensers, rewinders, label counters and semi-automatic applicators for cylindrical, flat or other types of products.
They join existing dispenser lines and linear systems that are more complex and sophisticated, able to manipulate products and control every aspect of labeling or print/apply processes, even at high speeds.
