Monodose: technology and service
Seen at Cosmopack: Valmatic’s excellent proposals
Since 1980, the success of Valmatic - dynamic concern based in the province of Modena - lies in its capacity to reinvent itself, diversifying its offer and placing the onus on growth and the use of leading edge materials and technologies. Concentrated on its core business (the production of single dose heatforming-filling machines), the concern also works on contract and is strongly oriented towards the search for original quality solutions devised for the chemical, cosmetics, food, pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical industries. At the recent Bologna Cosmopack in particular Valmatic proposed some solutions for the beauty and health segment focussed on safety and userfriendliness.
Cut-proof containers. Valmatic has devised an original container for ophthalmic and pharmaceutical use, capable of solving problems created by common plastic spouts, first and foremost the risk of accidental cuts caused by the tapered edges of the material. The pack made by Valmatic comes with a hood, that acts as a dispenser, made in Megol type rubber: a material that features excellent elasticity, softness and appearance, and that thus offers greater guarantees of safety. Once used as a dispenser, the cap can be cleaned and used again for the following dose. On top of that the packaging process is simplified and consequently practical and economically viable: a single line can in fact be used to form and fill the container, that can be boxed without being wrapped in aluminium pouches. Here the choice of material used to produce the container is fundamental: PET/EVOH/PE in fact offers excellent oxygen barrier properties, preventing the oxidisation of the contents.
Practical, safe and convenient. Currently used by the cosmetics concern IncaRose for its Argan oil, the monodose container produced by Valmatic is emblematic of some trends underway in the sector. It in fact totalizes the characteristics that make it the ideal solution for an evolved cosmetics packaging: the segment is in fact simultaneously on the lookout for attractive, practical as well as simple-to-use solutions, though also considering the materials used and, last but not least, the costs of the process.
«What is more - as Graziana Tassinari, marketing head at Valmatic tells us - consumers are evermore oriented towards using monodose products. It is a habit that is being consolidated and that explained by smaller family units, by a greater tendency to travel though also and aboveall in this period, a greater shrewdness in spending and the will to avoid useless waste. The single dose packs, by their very nature, respond in full to these demands: their bulk is minimum, the dose befits the use and the freshness of the product is guaranteed. Not to mention the benefits deriving from the lesser consumption of materials».
Creative and technological From 1980 to today Valmatic Srl (San Prospero sulla Secchia, MO) has consolidated its own experience in the field of thermoforming-filling machines for the production of plastic laminate monodose containers (with capacities ranging from 0.5 to 350 ml). Added to the broad applicative range of the containers - devised for the pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetics and food sector - the company also packages monodoses in controlled atmosphere and environment on contact. This is a full service, that ranges from the completion of the graphic project to the forming and packaging of the filled container in display cases or other solutions. Valmatic carries out all the production phases following a severe and rigorous procedure, that covers quality control, sampling and the issuing of the required documentation. On this count, we underline the investments made in the control of environmental conditions: the company is in fact structured in different microbiologically controlled production segments. If required by the terms of contract, the company performs microbiological controls on the products in cooperation with a certified external laboratory. For the production of monodose containers, the company has tested barrier plastic materials (PP/PET/EVOH/PE and PET/EVOH/PE); on the “machine” side in turn it creates lines capable of working laminates using plastic, aluminium and hydrosoluble materials. The constant quest for attractive formats and competitive solutions, the flexibility of response and good relations with the users have always been among the company’s distinguishing features. |
