Non-invasive O2 and CO2 analysis in MAP packaging
Measuring gas concentrations inside sealed packaging without piercing and producing unnecessary waste.
FT SYSTEM - AROL Group has developed the innovative EVO-P laboratory system based on LPRO technology for O2 and CO2 analysis inside MAP bags and trays containing food products. Unlike traditional destructive measuring systems based on the use of a piercing needle, all the internal contents are analysed using optical techniques without the need to perforate the packaging.
With this control technique it is no longer necessary to discard and dispose of the packaging material used for laboratory testing at the manufacturer’s plant, effectively reducing overall waste.
This non-destructive system can also be used to perform multiple analyses on the same sample at intervals of time, thereby monitoring the evolution of the gases (CO2 and O2) over the product’s entire shelf life.
The effectiveness of the method patented by FT SYSTEM lies in the calculation algorithm formulated by its experts, which serves to identify the particle absorption curve and thereby calculate the concentration of gases or pressure inside a sealed container.
This solution not only ensures full compliance with high quality standards but also offers practical assistance for companies wishing to improve their production analysis processes while safeguarding the environment and reducing the costs associated with spot checks.
Who is FT SYSTEM?
Based in Alseno (PC), FT SYSTEM specialises in the supply of laboratory and in-line control and inspection systems. It supplies machines and technology for control and inspection of empty containers, filling level, closure systems, filler and capper monitoring systems, pressure and leaks, labels, weight and ejectors/deviators. FT SYSTEM has been part of AROL Group since 2009.
