Radar Uno for stand-ups

The patented, latest generation Form-Fill-Seal solution Radar Uno - created by Radar Packaging of Bologna - enables packaging any type of product, using a wide array of reel-fed heatsealable plastic materials: various simple or laminated films, as well as paper in a microwave version (suitable for protecting fragile products, such as bakery goods).

The system creates stand-up packaging of any basic format or complex shape, offering the possibility of using embossed script or designs when using materials made memory capable through forced compression during the forming phase (also patented).
The packaging is executed using only the three essential seals necessary for guaranteeing maximum protection.

The machine also applies the most common reclosable closure systems, where suitable for the product to be packaged, and is also capable of inserting special hot printed closure inserts.
A salient feature of the system is the way in which the product is inserted into the container, just 20 mm from the upper edge or bottom, in such a way preventing the risk of fragile products breaking, and naturally also facilitating packaging of powder or foam liquid products.
The system’s designers achieved these results using feeders stationed at eye level, making obsolete the conventional structures positioned 3 m off the ground.

There are more advantages to this innovative automatic FFS. Firstly, Radar Uno is flexible (since the product feed can also be manual); moreover, it can be easily set up in (up to date) production facilities of limited size, keeping low heating and conditioning costs.
Compared to other packaging machines, this system guarantees a significant advantage in terms of packaging materials costs (25-30% less).
