TS 2plus: Optimized transport thanks to modular units

Designed for plug-and-go integration on TS 2plus - the Bosch Rexroth solution for pallet transport in assembly lines - the EcoLift EL 2 and TS 2 Booster modules enhance the system’s efficiency and versatility in the most demanding production environments.

The TS 2plus conveyor system from Bosch Rexroth is the all-rounder in the double belt conveyor sector: it is designed to handle pallets weighing up to 240 kg, and features standardized modular units that can be combined in numerous configurations to increase line productivity in every situation. These include EcoLift EL 2, specifically designed to maximize system efficiency even in confined spaces, and TS 2 Booster, which allows a significant reduction in cycle times when changing pallets at stations, guaranteeing unprecedented levels of precision, flexibility and freedom in pallet positioning.

EcoLift EL 2. The unit is set up so that the movement of pallets between the two transport levels takes place at the end of the transfer line, from top to bottom, or vice versa. Empty pallets can, therefore, be transferred below the line, so as to make maximum use of the available space.

Both vertical and horizontal transport of objects is very “economical”. Thanks to the innovative design, pallets can be moved in and out of the lift without the need for an additional motor. Vertical movement is achieved through a highly efficient brushless MSM motor, which reduces overall energy consumption, ensuring user-friendly operation and maintenance, as well as offering built-in safety features.

Suitable for all standard pallet sizes up to 800 x 800 mm, the Ecolift EL 2 is designed for weights up to 60 kg and transport heights between 290 mm and 1,790 mm. The module is delivered fully assembled and ready for immediate integration into an existing TS 2plus system.

The lift has been designed to ensure minimal wear and easy maintenance through the use of a brushless motor and fewer accessories, resulting in significant long-term cost savings. ESD compatibility provides a safe, complete system equipped for use in EPA (Electrostatic Protected Area) environments.

TS 2 Booster. It is designed to boost the efficiency of TS 2plus in the most demanding production environments (automotive, electronics, etc.) as well as in controlled environments such as clean rooms.

The innovative system picks up the pallet at the infeed from a belt section and brings it onto the section controlled by linear motors and accelerates it up to 3 g, significantly reducing cycle times.

During the process, the approach to the stations takes place in a flexible way, positioning the pallets with great precision without the need of additional units, pallet stops or other handling systems; the Booster can also replace a process axis (Y axis) thanks to its high precision.

With an acceleration of up to 3 g / 30 m/s² and speeds of up to 3 m/s, the TS 2 Booster guarantees maximum productivity. It transports workpieces with lengths between 160 mm and 640 mm and widths between 160 mm and 400 mm.

Depending on the pallet size, it is suitable for loads of up to 40 kg. In the process, it achieves a pallet change speed of up to 0.5 seconds and moves independently back and forth. The unit is delivered assembled according to the desired standardized configuration and can be easily integrated into TS 2plus systems, with fast and cost-effective installation times.
