Warehouse ergonomics with two workstations

AutoStore™ (company leader in warehouse robotics and automation) has announced the arrival of FusionPort™ and FusionPort Staging™, new compact workstations, designed to improve operating efficiency, the productivity of the operator and ergonomics in storage systems.

They make it possible to manage up to 550 containers per hour, adapting to the most varied technological automation solutions and will be available throughout the world from mid-April.

• Designed according to the well-being needs of warehouse operators, FusionPort maximizes worker performance thanks to the two inclined openings for picking in the presence of visual support tools. These combined features reduce the quantity of the operator’s repetitive movements in the manual transfer of goods from one position to another. At the same time, they simplify the collection of orders, providing visual suggestions with a pick-to-light system for the immediate identification of articles. The workstation also includes an improved safety hatch that makes the containers accessible only when the door is ready for picking.
• FusionPort Staging™ has, instead, been developed by AutoStore on the basis of an analysis of the space constraints of warehouses, where areas unsuitable for storing goods are often used. The workstation programmes the picking of orders and organises the take-up in a single point (the Door), allowing for the simplification of operations, reducing spaces occupied and costs. This workstation also has visual picking devices and a safety hatch and is offered in pre-assembled mode for easy installation.
