No more labels: you print the bottle

Focus on KHS for the direct UV printing of the container: speed 36,000 bph, maximum customisation, format change in just a few minutes.

Spotlight on the 4200 sqm KHS stand and the new KHS Innoprint for direct printing on PET bottles, that enables the elimination of the label and lists the German group among the pioneers of this new labeling” concept.
It is an extremely flexible and speedy solution (up to 36,000 bph), based on direct digital printing, capable of reproducing with maximum accuracy the image desired on a broad range of PET containers, measuring from 0.33 and 1.5 litres, and diameters of between 40 and 120 mm.
This performance is based on the fact that, thanks to digital printing, the image is transferred directly from the computer to the machine control unit, enabling printing at great speed and - if one should so wish - to customise the image of each single container.
The print quality is ensured by a resolution of 1.080x1.080 pixel and by gloss UV inks, practically speaking the only consumables demanded by this type of technology. Even the format change is speedy: going from a diameter of 40 mm to on of 120 demands a few minutes. In the standard version, Innoprint assembles 5 units (white, cyan, magenta, yellow and black) and others can be added to print special colors.

Other beverage proposals. KHS’ commitment to R&D has produced different key new features, presented during the German fair drinktec. In particular we cite.
• the new generation of rotary bottling machines Innosept Asbofill ASR, that incorporate the best of technologies and KHS components for cold aseptic filling, reducing at the same time the dimension of the aseptic area of the turntable, as well as the size of the nozzles (-30% per filling capacity);
• the filling capping block inspired by the concept of “mini hygiene housing”, with a space saving of over 40% and 20% sterile air. Integrated with a InnoPET Biomax Series IV for the press blow moulding that works 60,000 PET/h bottles between 0.1 and 3 litres;
• the new, powerful and flexible Innofill Can DVD filling machine, that eliminates the frontal table and ensures better levels of hygiene with a system and the single smaller sized components. Available also in the hot filling versions, it reaches 120,000 cans/h in formats from 0.1 to 1 litres.
