FinTak: compostable food packaging

Operating since 1988, Eurocell is specialised in the production of food packaging, with a particular focus on block-bottom bags, discs for hamburgers and Natureflex™ and polypropylene heat-sealed bags. Focus on the carbon neutral FinTak® line.

Eurocell (Cento, FE) has invested in and developed a green line for food packaging called FinTak, a perfect alternative to commonly used plastic. Products with the FinTak brand are “OK compost”-certified and can be disposed with organic waste together with crumbs or food residues that are difficult to remove, all without affecting the quality of the foods, whose organoleptic properties remain unaltered thanks to the high barrier against aromas and oxygen.

Bags could be heat-sealed, suitable for both manual and automatic packaging, and have excellence resistance to fats and oils. In addition, these articles are completely customisable: dimensions and printing can in fact be created to customer requests.

What can you put inside FinTak products? The bags are suitable for packaging biscuits, pasta, baked products, chocolate, sweets, flours, cereals, nuts, rise and much else besides. The discs for hamburgers, on the other hand, are suitable for the conservation of meat, fish and vegetable burgers.

A message of sustainability. The need to launch eco-sustainable products arises not only from market demand, but from the desire of Eurocell’s owners to limit pollution and environmental impact, leaving a “greener” world to the future generations.

FinTak line has the Carbon Footprint certification, which is assigned to products whose CO2 emissions have been calculated and compensated through the funding of initiatives aimed at eliminating or reducing greenhouse gases equivalent to those produced. Although plastic is still the widest used consumed product, an ever-growing number of users are willing to consider alternative packaging, especially in those countries where environmental policies have been adopted most stringently, making the shift to more sustainable products inevitable.
